TCO
GETS TKO with CrewXpert System
New
Software Offers Cruise Lines Cutting-Edge Online Human Resources
That Packs a Punch
MIAMI
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is being brought down a peg this
week with the launch of CrewXpert System, a new online human resources
and crew scheduling system that is being unveiled for cruise professionals
attending SeaTrade 2002.
CrewXpert System
is the first web-enabled human resources and crew scheduling system
that allows maritime businesses to have full control and knowledge
of the crewmembers that make up their workforce. Staff will be able
to access and update human resources information anywhere in the
world via the Internet, without the headache of having to transmit
daily data. They can check on training, licenses, certifications,
visas, and many other pieces of vital information using this new
online system.
"We
designed this software to be highly cost-effective, so the cruise
line does not need to have a huge initial cash outlay," said
Antonio Gonzalez, director of Sydel Corporation. "By using
the Internet we have made it user-friendly and efficient - shipboard
and shoreside information are all entered into the same database
which eliminates risk of errors in re-inputing information."
"More
importantly, we can protect the cruise line's investment in their
human resources infrastructure because this software can be tailored
to their needs and grow alongside the cruise line," Gonzalez
continued.
For
a CrewXpert System demonstration, please visit the Sydel Corporation
booth (#2122) at SeaTrade 2002, being held from March 11 - 15, 2002
at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
